The Everlasting Father

Levie Gomagoma Luke 11:2
And he said unto them, when ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
Luke 11:2

In the theme scripture Jesus presented a pattern of prayer to His disciples. He first brought an important acknowledgement of God as Father. Father means source and sustainer. There are various fatherly attributes of God and it is important for you to understand them and reverentially leverage on for your faith-boost. Many people call Him Father but they don't know the kind of Father He is. In Isaiah 9:6 He is presented to us as the Everlasting Father, "for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace". This is the first fatherly attribute of God I am bringing to your attention today. This means the Father who never ends. He doesn't die. He is not level to the fathers on earth. It consequently implies that as a child of God you can't be an orphan or helpless. He is your father forever. Hallelujah. You are assured of His constant supply in your life. No wonder Psalm 68:19 says, "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation". That means everyday supply until forever. Hebrews 1:11 uniquely bears recognition of this Fatherly attribute of God saying, "You are the same, and your years will have no end". He is from everlasting to everlasting. Political regimes of men keep changing but God's kingdom reigns forever. He is your everlasting Father.

Prayer
Dear Holy Father, You are everlasting. In you I am constantly and sufficiently supplied in my life. You are the shepherd of my soul and I will not lack any good thing all the days of my life. Your presence is ever with me. I am so grateful for this. In Jesus name. Amen
