In our previous article we learnt about the absolute authority the Lord Jesus has. Now this amazing authority has been delegated to His Church which is His body. It is on the basis of His absolute authority He said in our theme scripture "go ye therefore..." This means the Church can enforce God's will in the earth in His name. Isaiah declared, "For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). The shoulder is physiologically part of the body, hence this means the body of Christ which is the Church. Government signify empire or authority. In His name today we can override, overthrow and nullify decrees of darkness. This is true for every believer in Christ. The Church is running the affairs of kingdom of God today in the earth with His authority. This automatically puts the Church over and above every rule or Government.

David prophesied in Psalm 110:2 "The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies". Zion has double reference to Israel and the Church (Hebrews 12:22-24). The Church of Jesus Christ presently is the empire operating in Christ's authority reigning in the midst of God's enemies in the earth. Hallelujah!! His authority is our authority. Romans 5:17 says "For if by one man's offense death reigned by one, much righteousness shall reign in life by One, Jesus Christ". Awake to your rightful position of authority child of God and reign as a king with His authority given to you.
