Today I will present to you LOVE as the last vital factor for your fruitfulness based on our study of 2 Peter 1:5-8. The word love is translated from a Greek word Agape which is the sacrificial and self-giving love of God. This love was perfectly demonstrated to us in Christ's work of securing salvation for mankind (Romans 5:8). This type of love originates in God. This means one can only have and express this love when connected to God. This implies that a person who is not born again can't show this love because they don't have it. If you are born again this love is inside your spirit but needs to be expressed. This love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Spirit (Romans 5:5). If God is love (1 John 4:8) and we are born of Him (1 John 5:1), then it follows that we have a love nature as new creatures in Christ. Divine love is in us and is our new nature. If you don't know and recognize this, you can't express it and you will have difficulties in your love walk.

This divine love is about the endearing value that you hold for people. In this love your value of people is shaped by God's value for them. They may look dirty and behave foolishly and you may not like their actions but God loves them and that is why Jesus died for them. He did not die for perfect people. In Agape you love them in spite of their actions. This love has no boundaries. While Philadelphia focusses on brotherhood, Agape has no boundaries. It is God's love for and to all people. In Agape God's goodness and kindness flows from you in a sacrificial and self-giving way to others, even those who are not related to you in any way. This is the type of love described for us in 1 Corinthians 13:1-8. Eph 5:1-2 instructs us "Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour". Be that channel of divine love everywhere you are. Walking in love should be you major pursuit in life. Recognize this love in your heart and acting it out and see your productivity increase.
