Another vital aspect you must learn from the theme scripture is about the expressions of praise. David said, "And in your name, I will lift up my hands". One such expression of praise is a lifting up of your hands, apart from the words that come out of your lips in words and in songs and in Psalms. Lifting up of your hands as you praise the Lord is a reverential expression. It's a special acknowledgement of His greatness. Think of when one military team raises hands in combat. It means surrender, showing that the opponents are greater than them. When you lift your hands to God you are declaring His greatness.
