Our theme scripture in the Contemporary English version says "Shout the message! Don't hold back. Say to my people Israel: You've sinned! You've turned against the Lord". How loud is your cry for the gospel? He says don't hold back. That means don't relent. God wants you to amplify the gospel cry in your world. You amplify the gospel cry by increasing your efforts for the gospel. Don't shrink your commitment in the gospel. You must break the limits and go the extra mile for the gospel. In amplifying the gospel cry there are two things happening. Number one is that you are stressing and laying up the gospel influence on people's hearts. You are not giving up on people. Even if it is one person that you are targeting it is worth it stressing and insisting. Sometimes people would accept Christ after several efforts. Think of the words of the Lord in Matthew 18:12, "How think you? If a man have a hundred sheep and one of them be gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go into the mountains and seek that which is gone astray? Look at the effort and level of energy going up the mountain just for one sheep. This is how much God values a single soul. And just like God values them, he wants you to value them. The second aspect in amplifying the gospel cry is that you widen the gospel coverage. When you shout loud the gospel you reach many people. Don't just be satisfied in reaching few people with the gospel. Jesus died for the whole world and He desires that all men be saved (1Timothy 2:4). Matthew 28:18 says "Go ye therefore and teach all nations." He says all nations, meaning people groups. For instance, when you increase your financial commitment for the gospel, you are amplifying the gospel cry for expanded reach. Amplify the Gospel cry, don't hold back, and don't relax your efforts, the Lord is coming soon.
