THE GOSPEL IS ENTRUSTED TO YOU
According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. And I thank Christ Jesus, our Lord, who has enabled me for that. He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.— 1 Timothy 1:11
Do you know that God has entrusted you with the gospel of Christ? That means the gospel is committed to your trust. This is what Apostle Paul expressed in our theme scripture. This understanding contributed significantly to his unwavering passion in the gospel. Know that you are God's carrier for the gospel. Take it so personal like Paul. The bible says you are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). That means you are to shine and drive out darkness. Do you know there are those that are grappling in darkness right now, separated from God and empty in their hearts? And God has sent you as light to them. Through you, they will be saved. Furthermore, you are God's watchman in this world with the gospel. Don't put to sleep the gospel trumpet. Do you know you are given the gospel trumpet? Ezekiel 3:17-19 says, "Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel". If you don't understand this enormous and noble responsibility you will easily allow discouragement. Are you prepared to stand in God's sight and answer why you didn't blow the gospel trumpet to those in your world? Are you willing to have others end up in the lake of fire while you have the solution that saves? The gospel is entrusted to you, therefore take it so personal. This is not only the work of pastors, evangelists, prophets and teachers. It is for all children of God. This is the word and ministry of reconciliation granted to us all (2 Corinthians 5:18-19). You are entrusted with the greatest news which saves mankind, and know that you are accountable to God. Preach the gospel with this understanding.
