Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all— 1 Timothy 4:15
Our theme scripture reveals that our progress becomes public or apparent as we give ourselves wholly. This is about your quality input of commitment or dedication. How committed are you to God's word and work? God wants you to be very dedicated to His course. Let the level of your dedication to God's mission become inspirational to others. Acts 15:26 (NIV) testified about Paul and Barnabas, "Men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ". This was a testimony of their commitment and dedication to the Lord and His work. In multiplying your devotion to God, think about your personal prayer time, study and meditation in the word. David said, "In the night watches I am awake, so that I may give thought to your saying" (Psalm 119:148 BBE). He stayed awake for meditation in the word. Luke 6:12 tells us about Jesus, "And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God". This was dedication in devotion.
It's time to multiply your commitment in the work you do for the Lord. Your commitment to Him can never be wasted. 1 Corinthians 15:58 enjoins us, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord". No true labor or dedication for the Lord goes unnoticed by God. Without dedication, you can't produce significant results in your life. Think about multiplying your labor of love in giving, soul wining etc. Don't accommodate any limitations to your service for the Lord.
You can do much more for Him that yester years or month. When you give yourself wholly it is a mark of your ever growing love for God. It also reveals that you understand that God truly owns you and you are not of your own.
