PRAISE BEFITS THE RIGHTEOUS
Shout for joy in the LORD, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright— Psalm 33:1 ESV
God wants you to be filled with His praises always. Our theme scripture tells us that praise befits the righteous. This means its befitting to us to offer praise to God. This tells us that in Christ we are recreated for God's praise. It's God's design of us. God proclaims in Isaiah 49:3 "Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified". You exist for God's glory. Ephesians 3:21 indicates, "Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen". The congregations of the Lord must be filled with God's praise, so should your individual life. Matthew 21:13 carries the corrective and passionate words of the Lord to the Jews, "It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves". He was concerned with the misalignment of purpose for God's house. The highest prayer to be offered is that of praise.
When we align with His design, we are beautified by the Spirit. In praise we are beautified. Praise is our heartfelt and thankful adoration to God. It's the reverential celebration of His character and greatness. In Psalm 34:1 (NLT) David declares his commitment towards praise, "I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises". Hebrews 13:15 (AMPC) also enjoins us, "Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name". You ought to offer sacrifices of praise to God all times. It doesn't matter what you see or feel, praise God anyway. When we praise the Lord, it's a beautiful sight for the Lord to behold. Be filled with praise always.
