In 2 Corinthians 8:9 we found a profound statement about our financial and material prosperity. It states, "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich". He enlightens us that by His grace, God has made us rich through the divine exchange and substitutionary work of Christ. He became poor for us to be rich. Don't define yourself by any other way except by the revelation of God's way. Many times people have haven't grasped the greatness of God. See what He did to Solomon as given in 1 Kings 4:29, "God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore". Appreciate what He said to him in 2 Chronicles 1:12 (ESV), "I will also give you riches, possessions, and honor, such as none of the kings had who were before you, and none after you shall have the like". This is what your heavenly Father can do, and much more than this has He done in Christ for you.

Our theme scripture today shows us the enormity and vastness of these riches we have received in Christ. The Amplified version Classic rendering of our anchor scripture says, "To me, though I am the very least of all the saints (God's consecrated people), this grace (favor, privilege) was granted and graciously entrusted: to proclaim to the Gentiles the unending (boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless) riches of Christ (wealth which no human being could have searched out)". There is no human means of quantifying our riches in Christ.

It's unfathomable, exhaustless and boundless. That is why a child of God shouldn't worry if someone took something from them. They can't take enough of the inexhaustible treasures you have in Christ. Our riches in Christ are not backed by some minerals in some country, no, it's backed from heaven. 1 Peter 1:4 (GWT) declares, "We have been born into a new life which has an inheritance that can't be destroyed or corrupted and can't fade away. That inheritance is kept in heaven for you". The word "kept" means backed or secured. That means our riches are not subject to the negative influences of this world. Therefore you can't be disadvantaged even financially. Your inheritance in Christ can't be destroyed or corrupted, meaning it doesn't depreciate. Think this way, talk this way and act this way.
