A soul winner is a carrier of divine wisdom. You carry the most precious message in the whole world, the gospel of Jesus Christ. Apart from what we have been sharing in our previous articles, your character or conduct is vital in ensuring effective ministration in wining others to the Lord. As a soul winner you must watch your life according to God’s word. Degraded or compromised morals undermine your efforts in the gospel. This is what we see in our theme scripture which says, “Dead flies in perfume make it stink, and a little foolishness decomposes much wisdom”. The message of Christ your carry is like that perfume. The dead flies inside the perfume’s bottle brings stinking odor which undermines its use by people. Don’t push souls away from the saving message by your decayed morals. As a soul winner, you must have high value for sanctification on your heart if you are to make real spiritual impact in society.

In 2 Corinthians 6:3 (NLT) Apostle Paul stated: “We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry”. Don’t separate your ministry from the way you live (conduct). Your conduct must be supportive to your ministry for its effectiveness. When you entertain indiscipline of desecration in your life, you can’t excel in accomplishing God’s will. This happened to Reuben, Jacob’s first born. In Genesis 49:4 (ISB) Jacob said these words to him after committing an act of indecency, “But you’re as undisciplined as a roaring river, so eventually you won’t succeed, because you got in your father’s bed, defiled it, and then approached my couch.". You must take advantage of God’s grace to live a consecrated life. What is impossible with man, is possible with God. Focus on His divine ability in you and be determined to live such a life that honors the Lord. That way your effectiveness in soul winning will be fostered. God bless you.
