The Church of Jesus Christ is most beautiful thing in the earth in God’s eyes. It is His most sublime treasure. Our opening scripture says Zion is the most beautiful city and God shines brightly from there. The Church is the today Zion of God. Hebrews 12:22-23 sheds light into this truth: “But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect”. As is with the church so it is with each of the members of the body of Christ. You are God’s best. James 1:18 (TPT) says, “God was delighted to give us birth by the truth of his infallible Word so that we would fulfill his chosen destiny for us and become the favorite ones out of all his creation”. We are God’s favorite in Christ Jesus. We are the first and the best of all he has made. We are carriers of His glory to the nations of the world. We are the vessels through which God shows Himself great among the nations.

1 Peter 2:9 (AMPC) declares what God has made us out of His treasurable benevolence: “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own [a]purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”. He purposed that we exhibit His glory and excellencies to the world. This should influence the way you perceive yourself, how you serve God and do everything in life. Do what you do as God’s best. Give out the best for Jesus Christ. Give out the best in your profession, school or business. As God’s best, don’t entertain mediocrity.

You were recreated in Christ to exude divine excellence. It doesn’t matter who may not like you, you are God’s best and favorite. Begin to like you because God likes you as His best. Don’t fight and sweat to be liked by men, you are God’s best and favorite, just manifest excellence. The display of God’s excellence is your divine calling.
