I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.— Psalm 2:7
As a child of God your mouth should utter decrees of righteousness because you are a king made by God. Revelation 1:6 declares that God has made us kings and priests unto God and his Father. This kingship is about dominion. We exercise this dominion through words. Our opening scripture says, “I will declare the decree”. A child of God should actively use the mouth in declaring decrees. By definition a decree is an official order given by a legal authority. God has said something about everything and continues to by His Spirit. Your role is to know what God has decreed and then leverage on that to issue your declarations. These are declarations of righteousness. We speak in consonance or agreement with what He has said. This is a spiritual principle. This is what Hebrews 13:5-6 elaborates: “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me”. When you know what God has said, boldly declare in line with it. Don’t be quiet. It’s your noble duty to find out what God has said concerning you and any matter, and then declare the decree.
Your mouth is a weapon when loaded with God’s word. Say what He has said not what you feel or see physically. That is the way to establish the word in your own life and then you will see its manifestations. Job 22:28 declares, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways”. God’s word is forever settled in heaven, but it’s established in your life through your decrees. If you want your way in life to be full of light, then learn to declare the decrees of God. This is the way to see the manifestation of God’s word and your life will not know confusion.
