When you receive salvation in Christ, you receive a life of glory. Christianity is not a religion. It is the life of glory we receive in Christ. This is what our opening scripture conveys. God through the vicarious death and resurrection of Christ brought many sons to glory. You were born in the place of glory when you got born again. Because many of God's children have not known it, they have lived below what they have in Christ. Hosea 4:6 voices out God's concern, "My people perish for lack of knowledge". Jesus didn't just die and rise to have our sins forgiven. He brought many sons to glory. It means He brought many sons to the beauty and excellence of God. This is not the glory of man. There is a glory of the unregenerate man which is like that of the flowers and grass of the fields which wither with time, but the glory of the child of God doesn't diminish or fade (1 Peter 1:24-25). It's called the ever abiding glory of the Word of God. You are not in the category of natural men if you are born again. After His resurrection, Jesus asked two disciples on the way to Emmaus "Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?" (Luk 24:26). He told them the suffering of Christ were a means to an end of getting into a place of glory. And when He entered that glory, we entered that glory, because He was our representative. 1 Peter 1:11 NCV collaboratively tells us that, "The Spirit of Christ was in the prophets, telling in advance about the sufferings of Christ and about the glory that would follow those sufferings". There is a glory that followed His passion. As a child of God you were born in that glory where you are seated together with Christ in the heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). This glory is about the life of God, beauty of God, the provisions of God, His power and grace. It is about the victory of Christ delivered to you. In this glory there is no lack, poverty, sickness and defeat. Don't accept anything less than what is given you in Christ. Christianity is absolutely an inspiring divine life.
