HE IS NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance— 2 Peter 3:9 NIV
Our theme scripture informs us about God's unwillingness to have any person perish in the lake of fire. After giving His Son, Jesus, to die for the whole world, He gives opportunity to man to believe and accept His son. 2 Peter 3:15 (NLT) states, "And remember, our Lord's patience gives people time to be saved". See every day as a special gift of opportunity from the Lord for someone to come into salvation. If God is not willing for any man to perish, you also shouldn't be willing to have people perish. And this means you shouldn't sleep on your responsibility to win souls in your world. By the Holy Spirit, stay consistently aflame in evangelism.
Don't be ashamed to preach the gospel of Christ. Paul declares in Romans 1:16 (NIV), "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile". You carry the only message that saves people. Don't relent in making contributions towards soul winning. Don't even accept the deception that says everyone is already saved. Apostle Paul states in Romans 11:25 "I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in". Until the full number of the gentiles has come into salvation, the rapture will not take place. As long as you are here, preach the gospel. Don't work on assumptions in your ministration. Always give people opportunity to receive salvation. Just like the Lord is not willing, be also not willing to let them go to hell because you have been given the word of reconciliation.
