Our theme scripture portrays God’s longing of heart for the salvation of all people. It communicates His deep desire for everyman to be saved. This desire is deeply rooted in the redemptive work of Christ which was God’s means of actualizing man’s salvation. God doesn’t treat maters of salvation of the soul casually. This costed Him the life of Jesus. Having consummated salvation, it’s now the longing for all to receive this gift of salvation. And in this longing we are the expression of His deep desire. In Mark 16:15 He says, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Just as He gave the best for the salvation of man, we also have to give the best for the gospel to be heard and received. This touches our commitment in spreading the gospel of our Lord Jesus. Winning souls should never be secondary in your life, ministry and Church. Jesus declared that He came to seek and save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). This was the reason of His existence. The gospel has to be primary on your heart, the reason you live.

Since His longing is for all, then don’t draw boundaries across tribes, ethnic groups, gender and countries. Take the gospel to all people. Don’t allow religions of men influence your choice of where to preach the gospel. Jesus didn’t come to establish a religion but to give eternal life to man. You must love all people, never hate anybody irrespective of their actions and beliefs. The gospel is God’s message of love. John 3:16 records: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. Tell your world that the love-price was already paid in Christ. Be intentional in the propagation of the gospel through, among others, your frequent tailored intensive prayers and resource investments. This desire should spur you to reach the unreached

and forgotten societies of people. You must go the extra mile in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ in your world. Be a reliable expression of God’s longing for their salvation.
