1 Corinthians 6:19 (ESV) poses an insightful question: “do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?” Being the temple of God and the Holy Spirit living in you, God talks in and through you. This had been God’s plan from the foundation of the world. Moses expressed a desire in this line as expressed in Numbers 11:29 (CEV): “I wish the LORD would give his Spirit to all his people so everyone could be a prophet”. The prophet is God’s mouth piece. In our opening scripture, David said: “The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue”. Through the Holy Spirit, you receive revelations of God in your spirit and pass them to His people. This is a noble calling for every believer in Jesus Christ. You may not be a prophet by definition of ascension gifts but by the Holy Spirit you have become God’s mouth piece in generic terms.

Another thing I want you to learn from our theme scripture is the active and bold recognition that David made about the Spirit’s operation in His life. The more you reverentially and boldly acknowledge His works in your life, the more you will see His manifestations in your life. In John 14:10 The Lord Jesus acknowledged the work of the Holy Spirit in Him: “the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works”. As you go out today or you are preparing for ministration of His Word, declare boldly that “the Holy Spirit will speak by me for His word is in my mouth”. He talks in you and through you. His Word changes people’s lives and destinies. Therefore it means He transforms people through you. As you speak forth His word, their lives will be changed for eternity. When you arrive in a place, that community is blessed to have God’s mouth piece there. You are that blessing amidst them.
