How to be Prepared for His Coming

Levie Gomagoma Hebrews 9:28 (AMPC)
Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and once for all, will appear a second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation those who are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] waiting for and expecting Him.
Hebrews 9:28 (AMPC)

Are you eagerly, constantly and patiently waiting for the coming of the Lord? This is His desire as clearly stated in our theme scripture. The question is, "How do you prepare"? Your major concentration in life should be to reverentially and continually submit yourself to God through His word and the Holy Spirit. This will help you live in God's will and purpose always. This is your true preparation. Your readiness is in walking in God's will. Hear God's call in Proverbs 23:26 NLT, "O my son, give me your heart. May your eyes take delight in following my ways". This is about your submission to God and His will and this is your true preparation.

Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:8 said "henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give to me at that day, not only to me, but unto all of them also that love his appearing." Those who love His appearing are those waiting with joyful eagerness as they walk in His light. The Lord Jesus passionately warned in Luke 21:34-35 (TLB), "Watch out! Don't let my sudden coming catch you unawares; don't let me find you living in careless ease, carousing and drinking, and occupied with the problems of this life, like all the rest of the world". This admonishes us not to entertain worldliness in our lives. If you love the world, the love of the Father will not be in you. Do not live your life casually as a child of God. Let your daily life portray that you are waiting for the Lord Jesus. There is no time for preparation at the twinkle of an eye, therefore live a prepared life every day. If you are not born again know that the first level preparation is being born again.

Prayer
Oh righteous and Holy Father, I thank you for saving me by your grace. The promise of Jesus' soon return is my joy. I live every day in full expectation of His glorious appearing as I submit to your word and the Holy Spirit. In Jesus name. Amen
