Across the world many do not have adequate and accurate knowledge of who Jesus Christ is. Even among Christians, many just know Him as the Saviour. Our theme scripture conveys a profound truth about Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the true God and eternal life. Colossians 1:16 unequivocally affirms the deity of Jesus declaring "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him". No one fits into that character description except God. John 1:1 states, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". Then in verse 14 John says, "The word (which was God) became flesh and dwelt among us" referring to Jesus Christ. This further asserts the deity of Jesus. Let the whole world know about this truth and never be ashamed of your association and oneness with the Lord Jesus. Titus 2:13 states, "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ". Jesus Christ is not just a Saviour. He is the great God and our Saviour.

Furthermore, our theme scripture also says He is eternal life. This means He is the personification of eternal life. Not only does He give eternal life, He is that life. In John 17:3 Jesus described eternal life, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent". The Greek word which was translated "and" in the verse above can also be rendered "even". Replacing those words, the scripture would read, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, even Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent". This perfectly concurs with our theme scripture. Jesus Christ is the true God and eternal life. Recognize Him that way in your life and present Him that way to your world. Be bold to tell others that Jesus Christ is the true God and Eternal life.
