In our previous study we learnt about the "Everlasting father". Today I bring you another attribute, "Father of lights" as presented in our theme scripture. Firstly, this bears reflection that as a child of God you are light. It identifies you as light. Ephesians 5:8 collaboratively states, "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light". This shows you how God sees you. You are meant to shine. That means your life is not ordinary like any human being. You are born to dispel darkness, you are greater than darkness or any work of Satan because light overcomes darkness. John 1:5 NIV asserts, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it". If God bore light then He must be light Himself because like begets like. 1 John 1:5 concurringly declares, "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all".

Secondly, light stand for wisdom and knowledge, aspects which weigh heavily on your productivity and effective walk with the Lord. He is the very source of the wisdom, direction and knowledge you require in every area of your life. Colossians 2:3 declares about Christ, "In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge". All the wisdom and knowledge that you require is resident in Him and He is the wisdom of God to us. Since the Lord Jesus lives in you, then it means this light resides in you now. Think of the confidence this brings in your life. As you pray, be conscious that you are talking to the God who has all wisdom and knowledge, the father of lights. Hallelujah
