Our theme scripture presents what happened to the Lord Jesus just before His arrest. The pressure mounted on Him about His imminent separation from His Father because He would become sin for the whole world. That Angel was the Holy Spirit. He is the Angel of God's presence that strengthens us (Isaiah 63:9). Does your going seem tough? Do you feel pressure on you? The Holy Spirit is your strengthener. Recognize Him as your strengthener and strength. Isaiah 40:28-31 brings us these warm and encouraging words, "Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainted not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding. He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint". He wants you to experience His strengthening always. May be your attention to the Lord is weakened. Today receive the strengthening of the Spirit. Speak loudly "Holy Spirit You are my strength". No matter what you are facing, don't think you are left alone to weakness. The Holy Spirit was the reason the Apostles stayed strong till their finishing line. They did not stand in their fleshly strength but in the Holy Spirit. The presence of the Holy Spirit means strength to you. In Psalm 27:1 David declared, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" He is you strength.
