In John 15:7 (NLT) the Lord Jesus said, “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted”. In this statement Jesus poses a challenge that shows us the infinite capacity in God to make provisions of any kind. This means there is nothing you could ask that is beyond His capacity to supply. This is an open or blank cheque. A blank cheque is a signed cheque with the amount left for the payee to fill in. This is exactly what we see in our opening scripture where God told Solomon: “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you”. God is never intimidated by your requests. The challenge is on you to make the request. In Him are inexhaustible treasures of wealth. There are many of God’s children who have not taken advantage of this spiritual truth about the existing blank cheque in Christ. For some they have limitations on what to request. They think God is like man who can be limited in supply.

In Numbers 11:23 (NIV) God said to Moses:“Is the LORD’s arm too short? Now you will see whether or not what I say will come true for you.” This depicts the unlimited nature of God’s power for anything. Similarly in Jeremiah 32:27 God declares about himself: “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” Nothing is too hard for the Lord. Take God at His word. His Word is your advantage to see the manifestation of His power in your life. Be daring in your faith to see great things. Even if what you want has never been seen in this world, God is able to supply such to you. Things can be invented and manufactured for your sake. And you can also be that manufacturer and inventor through His wisdom.

Don’t live as a poor person, in Christ you are rich. Take advantage of the blank cheque and fill in what you want and you shall experience it.
