In our previous study we learnt about God’s blank or open cheque to us. In a similar fashion God poses a challenge in our opening scripture, “Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession”. He is saying you can even ask for the whole earth. Only God can present such a challenge. But my question to you is: “if God would give you the nations, what will you do with them?” While God is interested in your enjoyment, true living is beyond yourself. Your true satisfaction in life is about the accomplishment of God’s purpose. When you think of territories, have the gospel in mind. Remember God’s plan of salvation is for the whole world. The Lord said in Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”. His gospel vision is about reaching the ends of the whole earth. In your prayers and demands of faith, be daring knowing that God is challenging you to ask for the whole earth. Just like the Lord Jesus conquered the world, go and conquer kingdoms and territories for Him with the gospel. As you do, you are extending the kingdom of heaven to the ends of the earth. These territories are both within nations and across nations.

In Mark 1:38 (NLT) Jesus said to the disciples; “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.” I want you to observe His drive for kingdom expansion when He was here on earth. His preaching was only done in Israel but we have to take His Gospel to the ends of the earth. We are the ones to finish what begun in Jerusalem and has gone to nations through the years. The Apostles, like Peter and Paul did their part in disseminating the Gospel. Now is our turn.

Become an active and ardent partner of the dissemination of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus to the ends of the earth. You can do this with your prayers, financial and material contribution and your physical participation in evangelism events. The salvation harvest is ripe, let’s gather together while it is day across territories. No border or human set-boundaries shall stop us in this drive.
